HOPE worldwide was founded in 1991, and helped establish the Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE in 1996 to provide high-quality health care, free of charge, to disadvantaged populations in Cambodia, while training Cambodian medical professionals.
More than half of the patients at the SHCH live on less than $1 a day and would never have hope of accessing good health care. But thanks to the support of friends like you, patients at the SHCH receive excellent medical and surgical care, completely free of charge.
For this reason, many in Cambodia refer to the SHCH as the "Angel Hospital” and as “a place that gives new life.”
