Welcome to Care4Cambodia, a fundraising program designed to support the remarkable work of the Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE (SHCH). Established in 1996, the SHCH provides free, high-quality healthcare to the poor and needy of Cambodia. The SHCH has also become one of the best training centers in the country for Cambodian healthcare professionals. As Cambodia emerges from the devastation and genocide of the Khmer Rouge regime, many of its resilient and hard working people still live at a level of poverty that is hard for people in the First World to comprehend. More than half of the patients at the SHCH live on less than one dollar a day. Thankfully, services at the SHCH have always been provided entirely free of charge. For this reason the people of Cambodia refer to the SHCH as the "Angel Hospital", and as "a place where a person can receive a new life". The miracles that happen at the SHCH are only possible because of the support that is provided by people like you.
The Care4Cambodia Program has been designed to allow our friends across the world to not only see the specific needs that exist at the SHCH, but to meet them. New members of the Care4Cambodia program are asked to sponsor a specific patient, doctor or department for a 12 month period. Whether you can give $25 or $1,000 a month - you will know where the money is going and receive the personal feedback that your generosity deserves.
